Qu’est-ce qu’un manga afro-caribéen ? Un manga afro-caribéen désigne une œuvre graphique influencée par les codes du manga japonais, mais dont les thématiques, personnages ou imaginaires sont liés aux cultures afro-caribéennes (Antilles, diaspora noire, héritage africain). Il s’agit d’un courant émergent, pas d’un genre officiellement reconnu par l’édition japonaise.

Quelle est la différence entre manga afro-caribéen et afro-manga ? Manga afro-caribéen : référence culturelle centrée sur les Caraïbes (Antilles, créolité, héritage esclavagiste). Afro-manga : terme plus large, englobant toute œuvre manga-like inspirée des cultures africaines ou afro-descendantes. Le second est un macro-ensemble, le premier une sous-niche culturelle.

Y aura-t-il une adaptation animée de La Planète Takoo ? C’est une ambition à long terme. Le projet d’animation est envisagé, mais la priorité actuelle reste la poursuite de la série papier et le développement de la communauté de lecteurs.

Ces arts martiaux traditionnels sont-ils encore pratiqués aujourd’hui ? Oui. Le Djokan, le Mayolè, le Danmyé et le Moringy sont toujours pratiqués, principalement : dans des associations culturelles, lors de manifestations patrimoniales, dans des cadres pédagogiques et artistiques. Même s’ils restent marginaux face aux sports de combat modernes, ils font l’objet d’un renouveau culturel, avec des actions de sauvegarde, de documentation et de transmission intergénérationnelle.
